Art and Craft   

My musical instruments are based on original artworks which I adapt according to my experiences. The individual making, ideal playability and subjective sound calibration are defined together with the musicians. In this way tonal and haptic preferences can be met in the building of the instrument.

The main focus in the elaboration of my instruments lies on the well-balanced blend of timbre, volume, warmth and carrying power of the tone. To achieve this, I fine-tune the soundboard of every instrument.

For the body I pay special attention to top-quality air-dried woods. I search for and manufacture woods with a natural structure and colour as well as a special grain. The visual bias of my work accentuates the natural beauty of the woods.
